Capita survey of Lewisham Council properties in the Brockley area
This contract, which has been in place since 2007, is due to end on 3 June 2027, at which point Lewisham Council will take over direct management of these homes.
A final survey of properties is currently underway to make sure homes meet required standards, with ample time to complete any required works before the June 2027 handover.
We will be surveying all the external parts and any communal areas of the buildings. If you are a tenant (pay rent), the surveyors will also need to see inside your home as well.
We ask tenants to help our surveyors by meeting appointments to let them into their homes to check the condition. Please note, the surveyors will carry photo ID and will let you know by letter in advance of their visit. We want to emphasise that the surveyors are only there to check if repairs are needed. Your cooperation is very much appreciated.
The surveyors will undertake a condition survey of your property, including measurements and photographs of each wall in each room, the intention being to record the condition and identify any repairs that are necessary. We kindly ask that prior to their visit, you remove any personal photographs or identifying information from the walls that you don’t want photographed.
In the event that you are not at home, the surveyor will leave a card with contact details to arrange another time for his visit. Surveys will take between one hour to two hours, depending on the size and complexity of your home.
Drone surveys
Surveyor may also use drone to survey the roofs and upper elevations of some of the buildings. Residents will be informed by letter before this takes place.
There will be no inconvenience to residents.
