Reporting antisocial behaviour
We want residents to feel safer in their neighbourhoods, parks and town centres by tackling anti-social behaviour. Find out how to report it to our team and what happens next.
What is antisocial behaviour (ASB)?
Antisocial behaviour is any action that causes, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm, distress, or harm to people outside your household or to the community and environment. It can seriously affect quality of life.
Examples include:
- graffiti and flyposting
- littering, including drug-related items
- fly-tipping (dumping rubbish)
- nuisance or rowdy neighbours
- persistent dog barking or uncontrolled pets
- certain types of noise nuisance
Reporting antisocial behaviour helps us gather evidence and take action.
If you live in social housing
- report antisocial behaviour on a Lewisham Council estate or Lewisham Council home
- report antisocial behaviour if you live in a housing association home (for example Phoenix Community Housing or L&Q)
When to contact the police
