Parking tickets
Effective parking enforcement benefits public transport users, pedestrians, cyclists and responsible drivers.
School Street and LTN permits
If you have a valid School Street or LTN exemption permit but have received a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN), this will be cancelled automatically and you will be notified of the cancellation. If you have already made payment for a PCN received for this restriction and hold a valid School Street or LTN exemption permit, it will be refunded back into your account that you used to pay within the next few days.
If you haven’t received a refund within 5 working days, please contact the permit team via email lewishamparkingpermits@nslservices.co.uk, or telephone 020 8787 5397.
New Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) charges
From 7 April 2025, there will be new PCN (Penalty Charge Notice) fees throughout London.
Dealing with parking debt
If you receive a Penalty Notice Charge (PCN) for a parking contravention, you must follow the statutory process set out by the Traffic Management Act 2004.
About parking tickets and parking enforcement
Drivers who break parking regulations (either on the public highway or in one of our public car parks) will be issued with a penalty charge notice.
Challenge your parking ticket
If you feel that a parking ticket (Penalty Charge Notice) was issued incorrectly, you can challenge it.
Paying parking penalties
We know that nobody likes having to pay a fine for a parking ticket. We want to make the process as quick and easy as possible for you.
Wheel clamping and car removal
We do not carry out wheel clamping and we do not remove illegally parked vehicles.
Free removal of unwanted vehicles
Lewisham offers a free service to scrap old or unwanted cars. We do this to prevent people abandoning their cars elsewhere.
