Free Special Educational Needs (SEN) support workshops

Free workshops on SEN support for parents and carers of children and young people without an education, health and care (EHC) plan, who live in Lewisham.

These sessions are designed to provide valuable insights, practical strategies and a supportive community for those caring for children with SEN. The sessions will assist parents and carers in understanding your child’s SEN and applying effective support strategies to support your child’s learning, wellbeing and communication.

The workshops will be run in collaboration with colleagues from a range of local specialist services including the SEND Advisory Team, Educational Psychology Team, Child Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), ASD Outreach, Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy.

  • gain a deeper understanding of your child's needs
  • learn and hear about practical tips and strategies from experienced professionals
  • connect with other parents and carers in a supportive environment
  • access resources and tools to help your child thrive
  • understand how our schools/education settings are supporting our learners with SEND

Booking is essential. We're offering workshops in different venues all around the borough.
