Headteacher's message

Pupils at St Matthew Academy are encouraged to pursue their talents and we are committed to developing the 'whole' child; with an emphasis on enriching their experiences beyond the classroom through an array of opportunities, boosting their career and university prospects. In addition, pupils are able to achieve excellent results as a result of our high standards of teaching and support. Our position as an 'all-through' provides many advantages for our pupils; consistent pastoral care between primary and secondary ensure any 'dips' in learning are addressed and appropriate support is available and the opportunity of leadership and mentor roles in our primary phase. We welcome visitors to the school; please do not hesitate to get in touch if you would like to meet with myself or members of the leadership team and tour our outstanding facilities.
