When do charges apply?

If you are required to contribute, your payments will start from the day your chargeable care services begin.

However, enablement care is free for up to 6 weeks.

What is enablement?

Enablement is short-term care provided in your home to help you regain independence. It typically lasts for up to six weeks and focuses on helping you:

build confidence with daily activities
recover after illness or injury
stay safely at home for longer
you won’t be charged for enablement services

If you continue to need care after this period, a financial assessment will determine what you’ll need to pay.
