Celebrating Foster Care Fortnight

The council is marking Foster Care Fortnight (11–24 May) by celebrating local carers and calling on more residents to consider fostering.

As part of Foster Care Fortnight, we are encouraging local people to find out more about becoming a foster carer and the life-changing difference they can make to a child or young person.

Lewisham urgently needs more foster carers to provide safe, stable and caring homes for children in the borough. People from all walks of life can foster, whether they are single, in a couple, working full-time or part-time, and no previous experience is needed.

Why foster with Lewisham Council?
