Besson Street is a unique development and the first of its kind in the borough. Lewisham Council and its Investment Partner, Grainger plc entered into a 50/50 joint venture. The purpose of the JV is to develop and construct a viable Build to Rent (BtR) development.The comprehensive redevelopment of the Land at the corner of Briant and Besson Street to construct a mixed use development comprising of 324 residential homes, including 114 affordable homes, flexible retail and commercial floorspace, a Pharmacy a GP surgery and community space in buildings ranging from 3 to 12 storeys, along with the provision of disabled car parking, cycle parking and landscaping.
