Three easy ways to join us in celebrating Repair Week

Repair Week is back and it is a good chance to pick up simple ideas for fixing and looking after the things you already own.

From Monday 2 March to Sunday 8 March, local makers and businesses are running a handful of events to help you try out repair skills and keep useful items in use for longer. Repairing instead of replacing helps reduce waste, saves money and supports a cleaner and greener borough.

1. Attend a local repair event

Can’t make events during Repair Week? There are also upcycling and repair events happening during the Telegraph Hill Festival (21 to 29 March).

2. Use a local repair or mending service

3. Get involved online

  • let us know what you’re fixing and saving from the bin - use #RepairWeekLewisham on social media
  • discover money-saving repair hacks at London Recycles Repair Hub
  • help us expand our Circular Economy Guide by telling us about your favourite local reuse and repair businesses - you can share suggestions by contacting climate@lewisham.gov.uk
