Lewisham Circular Economy Guide

Last week we celebrated, Circular Economy Week, which highlights efforts to create a more sustainable and fair future. In a circular economy, the stuff we use is reused, repaired, or recycled, and finally broken down naturally, instead of becoming polluting waste. This saves us all a lot of money.

To improve our environment locally and globally, we must change how we create, consume, use, and dispose of things, and consider the full life cycle. This means using what we have, buying second-hand, reducing waste, and recycling more. These steps will reduce costs, improve air quality, improve our health, provide new opportunities locally, and help protect our local communities as well as the rest of the world from extreme weather, health inequality and pollution.

Here’s a list of places in Lewisham that promote reuse, repair, and recycling. Have fun checking them out and see how you can become part of the Lewisham circular economy.
