Prepare for three days of fun at the Big Catford Weekender
The Big Catford Weekender is a brand-new, free, three day celebration of all things SE6.
The festival programme promises a fantastic line-up of live music and performance, family activities, street food, craft stalls and more - bringing communities together in the heart of southeast London.
Taking place across Catford Broadway, Jubilee Ground and around Catford Bridge Station, the festival offers something for all ages and tastes. Highlights include a silent disco, street theatre, workshops including a yoga taster session at Yoga House, a craft market from the makers at House of Lewisham, a children’s play street party and local music and performance curated by Sister Midnight.
The Big Catford Weekender is organised by the Council in partnership with community groups, businesses and sponsors, including St Dunstan’s College which is organising events on the Jubilee Ground as part of its own Catford Weekender festival.
Councillor Sakina Sheikh, Cabinet Member for Culture, Communities and Sports said:
“I'm delighted to announce the very first Big Catford Weekender – celebrating everything that makes Catford so special. It’s a fantastic opportunity for the whole community to come together and enjoy an incredible line-up of live performances from local artists, browse unique crafts and gifts from talented local makers, and tuck into delicious food from much-loved local vendors.
“Hot weather is forecast so please wear sunscreen and stay hydrated. Let’s make this a weekend to remember – I can’t wait to see you all there!
Visitors are encouraged to walk, cycle or use public transport. Limited paid and Blue Badge parking is available at nearby car parks, with traffic restrictions in place on Catford Broadway on Saturday.
