16 Days of activism against gender based violence
This international campaign runs each year from Tuesday 25 November to Wednesday 10 December 2025.
Monday 25 November 2025 is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Wednesday 10 December is World Human Rights Day.
This year’s theme - ending digital violence against all women and girls, highlights the growing impact of online abuse and harassment. As digital spaces become more central to our lives, tackling these forms of harm is more important than ever.
In Lewisham, we’re committed to preventing gender-based violence in all its forms. Violence against women and girls (VAWG) remains one of the most persistent human rights violations, including domestic abuse. We also recognise that men and boys experience violence too, including domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking.
Throughout the 16 Days, we’re supporting activities that promote gender equality, challenge misogyny, spark community conversation and strengthen our collective response to gender-based violence.

- Wednesday 3 December: Insight Lewisham – My Body, My Power: Sexual Health, Pleasure & Embodied Consent. 1pm - 2.30pm Online webinar.
