Services for children with disabilities, learning difficulties or life-limiting conditions

If your child has a diagnosed disability, learning difficulty or life-limiting condition, you may be able to get help, advice or support.
Short breaks
Short breaks are a way of giving parents/ carers a break from their caring responsibilities. Short breaks can also benefit the disabled child or young person.
Hospice care for children
Children's hospices provide care and support for children and young people up to 19-years-old who have life-threatening or life-limiting conditions, and their families.

Joining the disability register
The disability register is a voluntary register of children and young people under 18 who live in the borough and have a disability or special educational need.
Children with complex needs
We work with families who have a child aged 0–18 years with a diagnosed disability.
