Update on Waterlink Way

Work on the bridge supports (abutments) was moving forward, but Thames Water has asked for extra work to protect one of their pipes. This will delay the project by around 3 to 4 weeks but it’s still on track to be delivered by late summer.

Some other work can continue in the meantime, but most of the remaining tasks depend on the abutments being completed first. Once they are finished, the rest of the work should be completed fairly quickly.

We know people are understandably frustrated about the delays, and we share these frustrations. Like you, we are looking forward to reopening as soon as possible.
