Council ranks joint 9th for climate action in 2025 scorecards
With an impressive overall score of 65%, Lewisham Council has improved by 10 per cent since 2023 and significantly outperformed the national average of 40%.
This achievement highlights the borough’s continued leadership and commitment to tackling the climate crisis.
The Council was recognised as an exemplar of good practice, receiving some of the highest scores in the categories of Planning and Land Use (86%) and Collaboration and Engagement (84%).
These results reflect the Council’s dedication to inclusive, sustainable development and strong partnership working.
