Library services during COVID-19

Our libraries are currently offering limited services while library staff help other Council areas on COVID-19 related tasks.

Hub Libraries

Deptford Lounge, Downham Library, and Lewisham Library

Open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am–5pm.

These libraries are open for browsing, Click and Collect, bookable PCs and study tables. PC and study table availability is limited, so we strongly advise you to book online, by email or by phone (see below for details). Slots for study tables and PCs are 45 minutes long. You can book 1 slot per day up to 2 days in advance. Printing is available with payment by debit/credit card or PayPal only.

Community Libraries

To book a PC at the community libraries, contact the libraries directly.

Archibald Corbett Community Library, Arts and Heritage Centre (formerly Torridon Road Library)

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9am-5.30pm

Saturday 10am-1pm

Archibald Corbet offers browsing, Click & Collect, PC use, printing and photocopying. Also running face to face Online Support Services and ESOL sessions.

Blackheath Library

Tuesday 10-12am and 2-4pm

Thursday 9-11am and 2-4pm

Blackheath offers browsing and Click and Collect.

Crofton Park Library

Tuesday, 11am-5pm

Thursday, 11am–5pm

Crofton Park offers browsing, Click & Collect, and photocopying. No PC use or printing at this time.

Forest Hill Library

Monday to Thursday 9am–5pm

Saturday, 10am–4pm

Forest Hill offers browsing, Click & Collect and up to one hour computer user each day per user.

Grove Park Library

Monday 11.30am-1.30pm

Grove Park offers browsing and Click & Collect. No PC use of printing at this time.

Manor House Library

Monday to Friday 10am6pm

Saturday, 10am–4pm

Manor House offers browsing, Click & Collect and up to one hour of computer use each day per user. 

Sydenham Library

Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10am-5pm

Sydenham offers browsing, Click & Collect, and up to one hour of computer use each day per user.

Click & Collect

There are three ways of accessing this service.

You can search for book on our library catalogue and place a request to collect them at Deptford Lounge, Downham or Lewisham. It's easy, find your favourite title and click on 'Place hold'.

You can download the My Library app from your usual app store, log in with your library membership number and four-digit PIN, search for you book, and place a reservation at your library of choice.

Alternatively you can email us at libraries@lewisham.gov.uk providing the author and title of the book you require, which library you would like to collect your books from and your name and library card number.

Finally, you can call us on 020 8314 8024 and leave a clear message with author, title, and your name,  library card number, library for collection and telephone number.

We will ring you back to let you know when and where you can pick up your book(s) from.

Remember, to pick up your reservation you will still need to bring your library card.

Pick up a Lucky Dip

We have preselected some small bundles of books in major genres, such as Crime, Science Fiction, Historical Drama, Comics, etc.

All you need to do is visit one of our libraries and pick one up. Remember, to pick up your bundle of books you will still need to bring your library card.
