Opening Hours:

Mon to Fri 9am to 5pm (handover 9.30 am)

Treatment offered in crisis:

We see young people for appointments either in Kaleidoscope or online (via MS Teams) or, sometimes, by telephone.

We offer initial and psychiatric assessments, and we also provide psychoeducation and pharmacological management as necessary. We have also provided therapeutic assessments, brief Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) informed approaches, brief solution focus therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) informed intervention and behavioural work with mindfulness.

Our crisis management procedures:

We will see any young person who has presented to a local A&E with an identified mental health difficulty. We receive referrals from A&E, both adult and paediatric emergency departments, and also from paediatric wards in the case of those who have been admitted overnight. Our team works towards a 90 minute target to see a child or young person following a referral being made and accepted.

We will also offer seven day follow up appointments for any Lewisham residents that have presented at any A&E department, especially if they are not known to any team, and handover of on-going work is required.

We can see young people for up to four sessions of brief work, especially if discharge is possible after that. We work closely with the paediatric staff and adult liaison service.
