Re-engaging our audiences

As the Council prepares to fully reopen the borough’s libraries, a survey has been launched to help ensure local libraries continue to meet the needs and priorities of people who live, work or study in the borough.
Libraries services

Limited services are available at Hub and Community Libraries due to COVID-19 restrictions. Find out more about changes to our library service.

We are keeping COVID-secure measures in place across our buildings to protect our staff, residents and visitors

Please continue to wear a face covering if you can and maintain social distance in our buildings. This includes our libraries, leisure centres and learning centres.

You can read the Government's current COVID-19 guidlines on its website.

Why we are consulting

We plan to maintain our building opening hours but may need to change the way we work, and we can do so by better understanding how your life has changed in the last year and what issues will be critical to your lives in the next few years.  We welcome responses from all residents, visitors to Lewisham, Services users and those who have never used a library before. We’d also like to hear from organisations that already work with the Library service or would like to work with us in the future.

The deadline for survey responses is 5pm on Wednesday 21 July 2021. More information and the link to the survey are available on our consultation page

We would prefer people to complete the survey online if possible, but we understand that it isn't possible or convenient for everyone. If you require additional assistance completing this consultation or have a request for a different format (e.g. paper survey), then email us on libraries@lewisham.gov.uk.

Please include details of your specific requirements and we will do our best to meet these.
