Saturday music centre

The Saturday music centre provides a wide range of activities and classes for pupils aged 7 to 18.

Instrumental tuition

Tuition is available for brass, guitar, percussion, strings, piano and woodwind, but is dependant upon tutor availability. Please see options below:

Who can attend

Young people between the ages of 7 and 18 years who attend a Lewisham maintained school or academy and/or live in Lewisham. Priority is given to free school meals children, looked after children and children in Lewisham maintained schools or academies.

When and where are the sessions held

Saturday music centre runs for ten weeks each term from 9.30am–1.45pm at Prendergast Vale School.

How to apply

If you would like your child to join the Saturday music centre then please complete the application form.

Places are limited in some programmes and timetabling will restrict some combinations of choices. All classes are subject to demand and availability of tutors and places cannot be guaranteed. Please do not send money until a programme is confirmed.​​​​​​​​​

Fees

Fe​es vary depending on the length and number of sessions your child wishes to attend. Please see the charges document below. If your child receives free school meals or is a looked after child (in care) then costs are reduced.​
