Information event for Lewisham residents who want to apply for EU settled status
To remain in the UK after Brexit, EU citizens need to apply for settled status under the Government’s EU Settlement Scheme.
If you want to apply for EU settled status, you can read the Home Office’s EU settled status guidance or read our Brexit information for Lewisham residents.
We understand there is still much uncertainty for EU residents over their future status.
We‘re holding an event on Tuesday 28 January to provide information about:
- help with your EU settlement scheme application
- advice on housing for EU residents
- community and voluntary organisations who work with EU communities.
The Mayor of Lewisham is committed to supporting EU citizens living in the borough to secure their status to remain in the UK and feel they belong in Lewisham. We want you to come to the event and to share what you have learnt with friends and neighbours, so they get a better understanding of what action to take to apply for settled status.
Tuesday 28 January, 6–8pm, Civic Suite, Catford Road SE6 4RU.
Speeches from 6.20pm from Damien Egan, Mayor of Lewisham, and Councillor Kevin Bonavia, Cabinet Member for Democracy, Refugees and Accountability.
