Greenvale School

Greenvale School is a mixed secondary school for pupils aged 11–19. It caters for pupils with severe learning difficulty and profound and multiple learning difficulty. The school is accessible for non-ambulant pupils.

Access to specialist provision in Lewisham normally requires a child to have an education, health and care plan. All specialist provision is intended for young people who have high level needs that are severe or complex and enduring.

Severe learning difficulties (SLD) or profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).

In addition students at the school may have one or more, in any combination, of the following needs:

  • visual impairment
  • hearing impairment
  • dual sensory impairment

National Curriculum Level

The cognitive ability of Greenvale is usually a number of years below expected attainment for their age. Across the school levels of ability usually range from level P1 to Level 1 of the National Curriculum.
