A vibrant town centre

Catford is home to a diverse range of shops and local businesses. Community feedback has shown that local people want to retain the character of the town centre and ensure this remains the case.

The Framework Plan will:

• Strengthen the shopping experience on Rushey Green, Catford Road and Catford Broadway to support existing businesses and create an accessible shopping area.
• Introduce flexible space for workspace, creative uses and small, independent shops in a new area - The Yards - directly behind Catford Broadway.
• Place the Grade II Listed Broadway Theatre and civic buildings at the heart of a cultural revival for Catford, with new entertainment, performance venues and places to meet and eat bringing the town centre to life throughout the day and into the evening.
