International Women's Day

Find out what's happening in Lewisham to celebrate International Women's Day and mark Women's History Month 2024.

Friday 8 March is International Women’s Day. It is a day when women are recognised for their achievements no matter their background.

The campaign theme for this year’s International Women’s Day is #InspireInclusion. When we inspire others to understand and value women's inclusion, we forge a better world. And when women themselves are inspired to be included, there's a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment.

Along with our partners and local community groups we are planning a broad programme of events celebrating the history, achievements and contributions of women in the borough. The programme below will be continually updated throughout February, so please check back in.
