Music education in schools

Music education in most of our schools is provided by Lewisham Music, which is a registered charity funded by Arts Council England. They have a large team of music tutors delivering vocal and instrumental programmes for over 6,000 young people aged 5–18.

Lewisham Music provides over 3,000 instruments to schools and families, and runs after-school ensembles and a Saturday centre. They deliver an extensive programme of projects and live events.
