Life drawing - all day - 1 day workshop - 11july

Please note this course will be delivered online. Enjoy a full days figure drawing! In the morning session we'll explore different techniques for gestural drawing , blind contour drawing, opposite hand and action drawing. Loosening up with a series short poses and working to music, we'll build up to a very long pose in the afternoon.

What prior knowledge, experience and qualifications will I need?
No prior knowledge or experience is required to enrol on this course. This course welcomes all levels and learners with some experience are also encouraged to enrol.

Learning Goals:
Experiment and explore with various drawing and painting materials Explore various drawing and painting techniques such as hatching, cross hatching, grazing and burnishing with pencil, blending and lifting out with charcoal and mixing colours, brushwork and consistency with paint. Complete a minimum of 2 artworks based on still life arrangements or abstraction

What teaching methods will the tutor use?
Please note this course will be delivered online. The tutor will use a range of teaching methods during the course which will include the following: Demonstration - both group and individual, one to one tuition, group work, assessment of progress, observation, discussion/question and answer sessions.

What assessment methods will the tutor use?
Please note this course will be delivered online. The course tutor will use a range of methods to assess progress on the course. These may include: Observation, completion of Individual Learning Plan which will be updated regularly, evaluation of work samples, question and answer sessions.

Will extra work be required outside the class times?
Please note this course will be delivered online. This will be discussed with the course tutor at the first class and will vary depending on the level of class and the topics to be covered.

What do I need to bring to the first class?
This is a practical subject, please wear suitable clothing. Materials will be provided for you each week but if learners wish to bring their own materials they are welcome to.
